In Te Maunga we did film making. We learnt about camera angles. I learnt that if you aim the camera up it will make the character look big and strong and If you aim the camera down it will make the character look weak. My favourite thing to learn was camera angles. The thing that made me think hard was knowing that we actually could watch a film at school.

Wackey Wendsday
In Te Maunga we had a Wacky Wednesday. We learnt dressing up is a easy way for fun. I enjoyed dressing up for a Wacky Wednesday. The hard thing was thinking of something to dress up as and I dressed up as a snorkeler.
PAL day 2
In Te Maunga we did PAL day. We played different games and the ones that I did were an obstacle course, a relay, greenlight redlight, handball, rob the nest and rugby. The thing that made me keep on going on PAL day was that I could get more caught being goods to help Rimu win ice-cream.

Earthquakes and volcanoes
In Te Maunga we did earthquakes and volcanoes. We did a google drawing to talk about a volcanic eruption or an earthquake (I chose the volcano eruption). We learnt about earthquakes and volcanoes I learnt that a volcano is a vent, or hole, that leads far into Earth. It runs down to the magma found deep in the Earth's crust in the mantle. Magma is a mixture of molten rocks and gases that has not reached the Earth's surface. These rocks and gases are very hot. Sometimes, magma is pushed up into spaces in Earth's crust called magma chambers. There, the magma bubbles and plops inside these chambers like thick soup in a pot and I also learnt Earthquakes happen when two large pieces of the earth's crust slips to cause shock waves to shake the earth in the form of an earthquake. My favourite thing to learn was about the volcanoes.

Olympic reading
In Te Maunga we did Olympic reading. We learnt about Olympians. I learnt their ages when they entered the Olympics and more than three facts about them and how medals get made. They are actually made out of scrap metal. My favourite part was the ancient vs modern slide. We read heaps of texts and answered some questions about them.
